This is for the De contest seen and shown here [link] . I spent a total of two weeks on this project and I'm not happy with how it came out, hopefully next year I won't feel so rushed at the end.
If you'll notice, the pumpkins seem to be... deflated... It's because I started the actual carving on 10.27.11 and between arthritic fingers, breaks, chasing of children, visiting the parents(as I did this in their house. We are on vacation currently) these poor pumpkins just didn't quite make it very long. They don't make pumpkins like they used to.
These pictures and carvings are of the "Knite" category from the wonderfully talented, . She is bloody brilliant in her portrayal of this beautiful comic book story and I do hope to win! It would be cool to win something, or at least an honorable mention!
Thank you!
EDIT: To I'M SO SORRY! I've been working on this all month long and I've only gotten half-way through our agreement commission!!! I will begin right away! AWAY WITH ME!!!
Sincerely,
Lady A.R.R.O.
EDIT 2: I wish you all could see the detailing work i put into the goldfish kite pumpkin, i put a yin/yang symbol on him and worked so hard on that little thing... Darn pumpkin! You win this year!!!!
**Squeaks** Well thank you Yuumei, I wish I had been able to enter the other DE contest about making or drawing something. Unfortunately, I hadn't been able to find the time, although I am hellbent on completing it. So when it's finished I'll send you the link. ^.^ Thanks again!
O_o The background is so distracting! Think you could upload a newer version of it without all the background stuff? I'd love to see it by itself, and decision makers might like that too.
Haha sorry it was done in my parent's kitchen just before the deadline. But the deadline's passed and I got 2nd! I'm happy and excited, but thank you for the input!
Thank you so much for this lovely entry!
