I thought of this when I gave birth to my second daughter, Seraph Rose-Raine... nearly a year after the death of my 7 month old baby girl, Emily Angel-Rose...
I was feeling sad because, to me, it felt as if I was replacing my lost child with a new one, and I didn't have the strength at the time to realize...
I wasn't replacing a daughter so much as I was bringing a new one into the world.
Not long after, I was forced to realize that I had to get through the hurts and anguish of my past to become the mommy I needed to be for Seraph.
And by doing so, I grew... not just as a woman, not just as mommy... I grew as a human being in general... and the personal lessons I learn for myself everyday are worth a million times more then their weight in gold.
